Armani + Samsung phone
Minimalist stuff.
The credit-card-sized Luxury Phone will be available soon. Giorgio Armani and Samsung decided to collaborate on making this phone together. The technical name for it is The P520. It was presented for the first time last week during Milan’s Women Fashion week. The only physical controls on its front face are “call/answer” and “end” buttons. All other things (dialing, contacts, etc) are handled through software. Can you say “minimalism”? It’ll have a camera (3 megapixels) and MP3 + AAC + MPEG -4 video support too.
Note: Gotta comment that these moves are followed by other Italian labels who did this first. We’re already fans and owners of the Prada/LG phone. Another phone collabo was Dolce&Gabbana linking with Motorola.
Armani’s P520 is going to be available at Giorgio Armani boutiques in major European countries this November. It will be available in other markets in 2008. Estimated cost? 400 Euros ($563). Also, how’s about TV Sets? The Armani/Casa-Samsung Luxury liquid crystal display television will be unveiled in January. Watch out!
